Capital One Shopping — Does not require a Capital One account. Compares prices across retailers and automatically applies codes. Sometimes finds lower prices on the same item at a different store.

RetailMeNot Deal Finder — Good for clothing and department store purchases. Their code database is updated more frequently than some competitors.

Coupert — Also offers cash back at some stores. Automatically tests codes and tells you which one gave the biggest discount.

Rakuten — Primarily a cash back service but also applies coupons. The cash back percentage varies by store but can be significant — 5 to 15 percent at some retailers. They send you a check or PayPal deposit quarterly.

One Caution

These extensions see what you are buying. They make money through affiliate commissions and data collection. The tradeoff is convenience and savings. If privacy is your top priority, you can search codes manually. But if you just want to stop leaving money on the table at checkout, these work.
