I used to clean the way I packed for vacation: grab a bottle from under the sink, realize I forgot the spray, walk back, repeat. A 20 minute job took an hour because my supplies lived in three different cabinets.

Pick the Right Caddy

Look for one with a sturdy handle and a few compartments. A caddy with a handle lets you carry everything in one trip from room to room. I like the kind with a tray on top for small stuff.

Avoid caddies with tiny holes that leak. Test it with a bottle before you commit. I returned two before I found one that actually held a spray bottle upright.

Group by Room, Not by Task

The mistake I made was organizing by product type. Instead, make a caddy for each room pattern. My kitchen caddy has degreaser, dish soap, and a scrub brush. My bathroom caddy has toilet cleaner, glass spray, and a toilet brush.

Same rule for the rest of the house. The caddy lives under the sink for that room and everything you need for that space is already inside.

The Essentials Only Rule

A caddy fills up fast. Keep it to what you actually use in a normal week. If you have not touched a product in a month, it does not belong in the caddy.

Mine holds six items max. Anything else stays in the supply cabinet. The caddy stays light enough to carry one-handed, which means I actually carry it.

Restock on a Schedule

An empty bottle in the middle of cleaning is the worst. I check the caddy every Sunday night and refill anything low. A quick Sunday restock takes two minutes and saves you from running out mid-scrub.

I keep backup bottles of the stuff I use most, so refilling takes seconds.

One Caddy, One Trip

The real win is behavioral. When the caddy is ready, I grab it, move through the house, and put it back. Cleaning takes half the time when you are not walking back and forth.

My mom thinks I became a cleaner person. Really I just became an organized one.
