I went through three different organizers under my sink before I gave up on organizers entirely. Everything I bought either didn’t fit around the pipes or collapsed the moment I loaded it with full bottles.

The answer turned out to be a four-dollar tension rod.

The setup

Put a tension rod across the top of the cabinet, a few inches below the top. Hang your spray bottles by the trigger, the way you’d hang a coat on a rack. The bottle dangles down into the dead space above the pipes, which is space nothing else uses.

Why this beats a caddy

• It fits any cabinet. Tension rods come in sizes, and there’s no shelf to wrestle around a drain pipe.
• The bottles dry out. Standing in a wet caddy is how the bottoms get gross and sticky.
• You can stack two rods. One for sprays, one for taller bottles by the neck.

I can finally reach the glass cleaner without knocking over three other bottles. It’s the first under-sink solution I haven’t ripped out after a month.
